The kind of movie you will lose sleep over, "No Country for Old Men" is very dark and very Coen. It's lack of soundtrack and gritty, powerful performances help bring the grim tale to life in a simple but effective way.
The film, however, is not a simple movie, but is riddled with themes and messages. It is a journey that can leave some viewers more puzzled and uninvolved than emotional. Never the less, even if you don't count yourself up to the task you will still enjoy this movie for its thrilling eerie scenes and wonderfully adept cast.
"No Country for Old Men" is a fun watch and a masterpiece of direction for any filmgoer.
