Review of No (2012) by Joshua H — 02 Nov 2012
A great film about a fascinating subject, No, Chile's submission to the Oscars, is inspirational without being sentimental. Gael GarcÃa Bernal gives an excellent performance, as always, and the cinematography (the film was shot with an '80s U-Matic camera) is fascinating due to the fact that the archival footage is woven seamlessly with the actual film.
The script is really sharp and quite funny. When this releases on February 15, run to see it. The director and actress from the film were there for a Q&A as an added bonus.
