Review of No (2012) by John H — 25 Mar 2013
Creates a lasting impression, not just because of the use of videotape interspersed with actual footage from the 1988 Chilean plebiscite, but because the underlying theme of the power of grass-roots political movements and mobilization rings very much true today (albeit in other regions of the world).
"No" is also an excellent reminder that while the medium of choice for communication may evolve over time, the medium's ability to (eventually) persuade its captive audience can never be underestimated.
