Filmed in low definition, 3/4 inch Sony U-matic magnetic tape, which was widely used by television news in Chile in the 80s, this Oscar nomination for Best Foreign Film scores high on creative filmmaking but it can't make up for its bland telling of how advertising gimmicks sway the nation to say no to Chilean military dictator Augusto Pinochet in 1988.
