Review of Nixon (1995) by Andy R — 27 May 2007
When I first watched this film, I didn't have much hope for it. An esteemed English actor playing a crooked American? Seemed a bit contrived. But the storyline and fine acting ultimately pulled me in.
I loved the shifts from past to present to future instead of one long, consistent storyline. Stone's technique made the time go faster and still told the story rather well. But it was Anthony Hopkins that ultimately blew me away--he was phenomenal! I am so happy that I gave this film a chance.
