Review of Nixon (1995) by Harv N — 09 Jun 2007
Oliver stone himself is amazing. he loves to stay political and loves to go against the grain, but sometimes while going against it he still goes with it on the downbeat.
Hopkins pulls off a great nixon, no matter that he doesn't particularly look like him or sound EXACTLY like him, he plays the character that richard nixon was to a tee. stone dives deep into the blackness of nixons head; all the guilt, the memories, the pain and anguish of failure, the struggle for power, respect, fear and happiness. so many themes, such a long movies and such a great cinema experience.
