Drags on for an age. Stone himself has said that he prefers JFK to Nixon and I'm inclined to agree, despite the fact that James Woods is in this one. Hopkins is impressive as the American President though, but unlike many of his early films the pulse does die in certain parts of this.
It's concise but you wonder if he had to link it as much to JFK as he did. It's almost like a sequel when it would be better as a stand-alone work.
