Review of Nixon (1995) by Alessandro — 03 Jul 2009
Anthony Hopkins is absolutely one of the great actors; he is powerful in this role. But, Oliver Stone, as the writer and producer, makes Nixon's story exaggerated, cartoonish, and his story gross conjecture versus a semblance of historical accuracy.
Too bad. On to see Frost/Nixon. Oliver Stone's Nixon is a very somber, wintery film, partially because of its subject matter and partially because that's the way Stone chose to make the film.
