Review of Nixon (1995) by Lady D — 08 Jul 2011
If Oliver Stone set his politicking aside, "Nixon" could have been an excellent biopic. Although Stone presents an empathetic portrait of a corrupt president, and everyone involved gives powerhouse performances, Stone makes too many presumptions and baseless insinuations that drag the film down.
The Beast? His Kennedy paranoia? Can't get into it here, but when it comes up -- you'll hopefully roll your eyes as hard as I did.
