Review of Ninotchka (1939) by Barbara O — 08 Apr 2008
It's lubitsch, which equals "watch it" in the direct comparison of political satires I'd prefer to be or not to be, which is one of my favourite films of all time. ninotchka is a bit more tame and less biting (certainly also due to the subject of to be) and in the direction of romcom, but that doesn't make ninotchka bad in any way.
