This movie harks back to a time where animes were completely uncensored but hadn't really broken into the western market yet the easyist way to describe it is a japanese action film. The 18 rating shows A LOT in this movie though, with beautiful bullshit free fight scenes (a rare thing in more modern animes with their powering up and crap) if you excuse the excess blood and nudity reaching into horror levels and some twisted messed up villians you love to hate.
The story is cheesy as hell but no-one goes to see an action film for just the storyline and this is no different.
