Review of Ninja Scroll (1993) by King Ninja — 17 Jun 2008
This movie is bleak as hell, which for some reason still surprises people. I guess there's still a stigma in certain parts of the world that animation has to be for kids. Trust me, this movie is NOT for kids.
Bloody swordfights, unrequited love, sex, monsters, and a very dark (if somewhat convoluted) storyline. This was what Anime was before "Yugi-oh".
