Review of Ninja (2009) by Ashley G — 27 Dec 2009
Very enjoyable popcorn action movie about an American orphan played by Scott Adkins who's been raised in a Japanese ninja school. Years later there's a threat to the school from a disgraced former pupil (Masazuka) who wants a mysterious box full of weapons from the last Koga Ninja.
The box is shipped to New York for safety where the American and his Japanese girlfriend guard it from Masazuka and a secret organisation hell bent on recovering it. I wasn't expecting too much out of it but I really liked it.
The story and acting is undeniably weak but who cares about that when you've got non-stop action sequences which are pretty exciting to watch. Give it a whirl. You won't be disappointed.
