Watching "Nine Queens" is like watching a game of chess played by two smarmy crooks at the top of their game. It's a convoluted narrative, but the pacing is taut and the director keeps the proceedings clear.
The fun is in guessing who's playing whom...and in seeing the one-upsmanship that goes along with it all. Bravo!
