Review of Nine Lives (2016) by Alex S — 14 Apr 2017
I honestly have no idea who could possibly enjoy this movie. Everything about "Nine Lives" was a total trainwreck, and I don't normally say this, but this movie was absolutely terrible. Every 10 seconds there was an annoying cat screech sound (which by the way, who would ever be fine with hearing that, how could these directors and writers possibly think having an annoying noise throughout the movie would be beneficial to it?).
The acting in this movie was sub-decent, although Kevin Spacey (Tom Brand), Jennifer Garner (Lara), and Christopher Walken (Felix Grant) all did their best to make this movie watchable, even those big name actors couldn't stop this movie from tanking.
There was absolutely nothing to like about "Nine Lives", there were many scenes that kids would hate (they spent way too much time talking about business and themes that kids would hate watching), and the adults would just be completely bored by the general lack of entertainment that this movie possesses.
The premise of this movie was also a complete rip off of Tim Allen's movie "The Shaggy Dog", it's literally copy and paste but with a cat, so I can't even give this movie props for being somewhat original with its premise.
"Nine Lives" is an atrocious excuse of a movie that I can guarantee nobody will enjoy watching (unless you only care about looking at cute cats), with the ONLY thing bringing above being the worst movie possible are the three big name actors that did a decent enough job to get me to not give this movie the worst score possible, however "Nine Lives" is still terrible.
