Review of Nine Lives (2016) by Skeptic303 — 28 Sep 2016
Perhaps one of the worst thing I've ever seen and perhaps the worst movie this year, Nine Lives is the textbook example of everything going wrong in a single movie. Nothing was funny, but everything was predictable in a horrendous script written by FIVE people! That is basically the most unprecedented achievement of atrocity of all time!
To add to this 90 minute garbage dump, the characters only existed as cut-outs and pawns in a movie about business written as if it must be a kids film. A pet-peeve of mine also shows its ugliness in this movie too: narration. While there are examples of narration done right, these are few and far between, and this movie is no exception. Furthermore, this project seems like an idea that someone wrote up to get the guiness world record for fastest scriptwriting time.
Just ignore this film and see Pete's Dragon. For all I know, Nine lives is the epitome of manipulation, cliches, and shoddiness, leaving me with no other choice but to grant it a seal of disavowal and condemn it to the ballot of the Golden Raspberry Awards.
