A film adaptation of a Broadway adaptation of a film ... well yeah, something was bound to get lost along the way. The hero is struggling to create a picture-postcard beautiful movie with no script - that description could be applied to "Nine" itself.
Lovely, famous, half-dressed women sing, in between the man being an ass. Some nice burlesque, but that's about it.
