I didn't understand this at all. About 45 minutes into it I zoned out. I let the film play in the background, but I was reading a copy of In Style magazine the rest of the time. From what I gathered, it was about a sleazy Italian director who sleeps with all his leading ladies.
Yes, not self-assured and chauvinistic at all.
