Review of Nine (2009) by Armando B — 26 Jul 2010

While it's certainly not the best film version of a Broadway musical I've watched, it has its charm. With an outstanding cast, excellent art direction and cinematography, plus a couple of well-acted roles (specifically Cotillard and Cruz), it more than makes up for a lukewarm story and not-so-memorable musical numbers, which look more appropriate for the stage than the screen.

Extra half-star just for the pleasure of admiring Sophia Loren on screen again...
