Review of Nine (2009) by Bradley H — 08 Aug 2010

A real joy. Although I didn't really like the songs they are vital in creating the alternative side to the story. It manages to avoid the deep gloom that is obviously behind the story thus making it watchable.

There is no brightness at all but all the leading ladies bring beauty. Day-Lewis is again brilliant and even manages to get the accent in such a way that it can't be ridiculed. These days Dame Judi is at the stage in her career where she plays herself in a different outfit each time and is superlative.
