Review of Nine (2009) by Matt M — 06 Jul 2013
Based on the Broadway musical which is in turn based upon the Fellini masterpiece 8 1/2, this film is an over stylised mess in which Marshall attempts to recreate the success of Chicago. Waste of a great cast, the film is simply overwhelming, and a clumsy musical where the music sequences slow down the pace instead of being part of it.
