Very flat. The cast is great, the location is beautiful and most of the songs are catchy, but Nine completely lacks depth and ends up being a movie about nothing, really. See Federico Fellini's 8 1/2 instead.
It's not a musical, but it's what Nine is based on and it's SO MUCH BETTER.
