Review of Nikita (1990) by David M — 09 Feb 2008
Holy crap. Strap yourself in for a great ride. Gives you a flavour of the remarkable work that M. Besson was capable of prior to that sad, sad thing called The Fifth Element. I'll tell you what the fifth element is to save you some time: its a big, steaming load of crap. On the other hand, this movie is pure genius - a stunning mix of action, brutality, humour, passion and tenderness that is unique. Oh, and please do skip the Hollywood remake. Doesn't even come close.
Oh yeah, after seeing it, you'll never think the same of anyone named Bob.
