Review of Nikita (1990) by Brad S — 13 Jul 2010
Initially starts off very slow, then has a little action, then more slowness. It isn't particularly interesting and the premise is ridiculous. Nikita is so whacked out that no government agency would want such a mentally unstable person on their hit team.
It plays out almost exactly as one would expect from such a psychotic character. There were some small flashes of greatness that Besson later develops in The Professional and The Fifth Element, but for the most part the movie was a letdown.
