Review of Nikita (1990) by J.b. R — 05 Aug 2011
Excellent thriller from Besson. Besson is sort of the French Tony Scott, using washes of color and lighting to intensify the action, giving it an overall slick and very modern feel. This film is action-packed to the max and the actors are all perfectly cast.
The film slows in places and spreads out the romance element a bit too much. Overall a kick-ass female special agent film with lots of twists on the genre that is incredibly entertaining.
