Review of Nikita (1990) by Zak S — 08 Nov 2011
I enjoyed it. Didn't find it particularly amazing. I much preferred Besson's next film, Leon: The Professional. This one was just lacking in a lot of areas. I don't feel like it had very firm footing in the story department.
I really liked the scene in Venice where she's in the bathroom and Marco is trying to talk to her while she's making a hit, but there wasn't enough of that sort of thing. The film toys with the idea of living a double life and trying to maintain a relationship when you're a spy/assassin, but it doesn't really embrace it.
