Stylized and atmospheric, I wouldn't list it with Greenaway's best works - it drags on a bit and could have probably been 30 minutes or so shorter - but it's a fascinating experience, though a very difficult one.
It's a fascinating story, and it's definitely worth watching for fans of Greenaway's unique storytelling techniques and stylishness, and also for anyone interested in Rembrandt's art and life - you'll get over the British accent soon enough.
