Nights of Cabiria is a heart-breaking look at a woman who just wants to find love. The problem is she will fall in love with whoever shows her the slightest bit of attention whether it is just an attempt to screw her over or not. The beginning and end of the movie parallel each other which leaves you hoping that she will wise up but knowing that her blind faith in love will probably screw her over again and again..

12/13.
It's a Wonderful Life(DVD).............8/10.
I was expecting more of a sugary-sweet Christmas movie but James Stewart has a darker side then I would have expected in It's A Wonderful Life. I would have loved to see it if Frank Capra had made an extended ending like the one SNL suggested in a skit from the mid 80s. In that ending after George Bailey was surprised by the town people with all the money they could gather his uncle remembers that Mr. Potter may have taken the money and the whole town proceeds to Potter's house and kicks the shit out of him. But I will take the overly sentimental ending to a wonderful film.
12/14.
I'll Be Home For Christmas(TV).........3/10.
Do you have friends who will sit down and watch whatever "made for TV" crap movie is on network television? Well I do and I just happen to be at their house while they watched this plot-hole riddled movie with unnoticeable continuity from scene to scene. Thank goodness for original, well made movies like Bad Santa otherwise Christmas entertainment might be taken over by crap like I'll Be Home For Christmas..
