Review of Nights of Cabiria (1957) by Cecilie B — 04 Jul 2009
As a huge admirer of Federico Fellini, this is my second favourite of his films. I can't think of anyone else who is able to make such a feel-good film out of such a sad topic - and get the atmosphere and real feel to it as Fellini.
Giulietta Masina, Fellini's wife and the lead in this film, throws one the best female performances I have ever seen (if I don't remember wrong, she won lots of prices for this film) and the ending of the film is probably the best I have ever seen to date.
Eccellente!
