Review of Nights in Rodanthe (2008) by Ro D — 21 Apr 2009
Manipulatively weepy, flat, and predictable. If you're the weepy type (or into Lifetime TV movies), you'll probably sniffle at the end. If you're not, this will be waaay too sappy. Pour yourself a glass of wine, that'll help (a little), and watch it for Diane Lane, who's as luminous here as she was in The Outsiders twenty-five years ago.
Extra half star for the beautiful setting!
