This only gets 2 stars. 1 star for Richard Gere and his beauty. 1 star for Scott Glenn and his beauty. This movie stinks it up a lot, but it's surprising to me that they didn't follow the book a bit more faithfully. Don't get me wrong the book stinks too-big time-but the movie was more stinky than the book.
Additionally, does Nicholas Sparks write any story where one half of his couple don't die???? Granted, I've only read one book, but still that's 2 films I've seen that were based on his books and there were two deaths.
Wait, Did I just ruin the film for you by telling you someone died?
