Review of Nights in Rodanthe (2008) by Danielle U — 05 Sep 2011
Does anyone else get kinda tired of the fact that Nicholas Sparks always has to make the story sad? This story of his was just ok. I have to say I prefer A Walk to Remember and The Notebook to this one.
One of the biggest problems with it is the music. It was not well placed and overpowered the visuals at many times and in my opinion it really took away from the film. The story itself was just so-so.
The acting was pretty good, especially Scott Glenn (even though he only had a small part) but it was lacking a bit in the connection between the two main characters. This movie did make me cry (as all Sparks stories have).
..but I have many films I would turn to for that emotion before this one.
