Review of Nightmare Man (2006) by Derrick S — 24 Mar 2008

While it started off with a promising, if rather obvious, is she/isn't she nuts approach, the bumbling of the titular character in his attempts to kill off the initial lead was getting a bit tiresome.

Then along comes scream queen Tiffany Shepis, and cronies, to kick it all up a notch in the fun department. Shepis got a lot of goofy dialogue and cheesy action-girl stuff to chew on, which normally doesn't thrill me, but I was delighted to find that she made it work.

Unfortunately the film took a major nosedive for me when we finally got the clear-cut answer on the initial lead's is she/isn't she nuts scenario, but it still limped along to the finish as a vaguely watchable film.
