Review of Nightmare at Shadow Woods (1987) by Justin A — 08 Dec 2012
An underrated slasher film. It's long overdue for a proper DVD release. Currently, one can get a bootleg that includes footage from both versions, fully uncut. The transfer may be awful but at least you're seeing the full film.
There's plenty of gore and the killings start immediately and never really let up. Plus, the story ain't half bad. The ending is fittingly tragic and the characters are mildly interesting. Definitely a forgotten 80's horror flick that is due for a re-evaluation.
Slasher fans will not be disappointed.
