Review of Nightfall (2012) by Kevin R — 09 Oct 2015
Everybody just wants something from you.
A mute man that has been in jail for almost twenty years is released and appears to have conducted a straightforward revenge killing. However, as a detective investigates the murder, he uncovers a string of lies that makes the crime look less straightforward. The detective will need to research the original crime of the suspect twenty years ago to help determine what happened in the most recent murder.
"You should find it shameful too.".
Rioy Hin Yeung Chow, director of Murderer and Rise of the Legend, delivers Nightfall. The storyline for this picture is interesting and fun to watch unfold with a few decent action sequences. The acting was okay and the dialogue was average.
"He hardened himself up like steel.".
I randomly came across this on Netflix and decided to add it to the queue. This was fairly good and had some great character plots and subplots and did keep me interested from beginning to end. I wouldn't say this was special, in an Ishii the Killer kind of way, but it is worth a viewing if you enjoy the genre.
"I will always be with you.".
Grade: C+.
