There's no doubting that the movie is good, but you just don't feel great leaving the thing - not that every movie needs to have a "feel good" quality to it. But this lead character is creepy as hell, sociopathic, and just plain antisocial.
It's never a movie you'd want to see twice. Gyllenhaal is great in it, of course, and it's cool seeing all the RL LA anchors involved - certainly provides a degree of authenticity to it all.
