I had no idea what to expect going into this movie but Gyllenhaal sucked me in fro the get go. His Aspergers character is unlike anything depicted in cinema so far, showing a willingness to video victims as they die live on camera.
It is an indictiment on the gory lengths "stringer" cameramen will go to get a scoop in today's tabloid TV (and print) news culture. Everyone is expendable in order to get a scoop.
