NIGHTCRAWLER is a lot of things: a sophisticated satire on news broadcast in America, an edgy film noir, suspense/thriller about one man's relentless quest to actualize and achieve the American Dream, and possibly a character study on sociopath, Lou Boom, played by Jake Gyllenhaal.
The movie succeeds on all fronts.
