Review of Nightcrawler (2014) by Nicky W — 21 Aug 2015
Nightcrawler is a great look at a unique profession and one man's extreme dedication to his work. Gyllenhaal is the best he has ever been in this movie and really does something few actors can pull off, portraying a multi-layered character who is not like he comes across.
He is both the pro and antagonist of this movie and has two sides. He can seem harmless and kind, but has a manipulative side to him. This movie is the best of the year and the best performance of Gyllenhaal's career so far.
