Review of Nightcrawler (2014) by Emiy K — 17 Jun 2015

Confidence is the key to salesmanship and Gyllenhaal goes at this with all he has. Reminiscent of Heath Ledger's Joker minus a smile, his ride into madness is hard to look away from. This movie is really a character study with everything else in the film as completely one note.

Visually, there is no break and the music only slightly varies making all 2 hours feel every bit as long as it is. The film is worth watching for the characters but not a movie to go back to.
