Review of Nightcrawler (2014) by Jon R — 12 Oct 2017
2014 FILM: "NIGHTCRAWLER".
Director: Dan Gilroy.
Lead Actors: Jake Gyllenhaal/Rene Russo/Bill Paxton.
PULSE-POUNDING!
TASTEFULLY OUTLANDISH!
VICIOUSLY BRILLIANT!
FIERCELY COMPELLING!
Director Dan Gilroy and his sensational (2014) directional debut film "Nightcrawler" was the most surprising and most unforgettable film that I've seen since Ryan Gosling's 2011 film "Drive.".
Disgracefully snubbed by the 2014 Academy Awards, "NIGHTCRAWLER" is a remarkable masterpiece from start to finish and hands down in my strongest opinion the BEST PICTURE OF THE YEAR! Academy Award winning worthy and equally responsible for the films magnificence was Jake Gyllenhaal in what I truly believe to be his greatest performance yet. Gyllenhaal's impeccably gripping, sadistic, restless and unshakable performance of sociopathic loner Lou Bloom is considerably the most pristinely portrayed sociopath of all time. Yes I will say it, even dethroning "American Psychos" longtime number one fan favorite sociopath Patrick Bateman whose needless to say was played by the amazing Christian Bale.
