First rate portrayal of a borderline sociopath who decides to become a nightcrawler, cruising the streets at night to film the latest tragedy to sell to night time TV. Gyllenhaall, always watchable, is first rate as the hungry man with a plan, but sometimes too Travis Bickle.
Seedily shot and moodily played, "Nightcrawler" has just the right amount of dark humor to add to the sweetly sour take on what we want to see. Recommended.
