Although only his second film, Clive Barker's sophomore effort is obviously the work of a master. You truly will care for the citizens of Midian, and will be truly surprised by the excellent performance from David Cronenberg, better known as director of classics such as Videodrome and The Fly, who's just as chilling in front of a camera as he is behind it.
