Review of Night Train to Lisbon (2013) by Margarita S — 24 May 2015
Breathtaking cinematography and a mysteriously intriguing beginning. As the story develops though, it loses steam. The more substantial and interesting historical parts eventually strip away and viewers are left with a rather unremarkable love story.
It's a shame that the love story came to the forefront while the historical context moved to the background. This ended up cheapening the overall look and feel of the film.
