Review of Night School (2018) by Jackson R — 10 Oct 2018
For me, it's very hard to find a Kevin Hart movie that I don't like but this I one of them. The first thing that I noticed even with the trailers is that Tiffany Haddish and Kevin Hart's chemistry does not work.
There are many jokes that would seem funny on writing but are not executed well with them, and there are some scenes that seemed like they were improvised and just awkwardly plopped into the movie. The tiny bits of the movie that I actully found funny was when Kevin Hart was a sales man there were quite a few funny lines there but that was the highest point of the movie saddly.
The story is as basic as it can get with Kevin hart needing to get his GED and the only way to get it is to go to night school, the side characters(which are very few) are not funny, and the overall comedy is just bland and unentertaining.
I would suggest a skip for this one.
