Review of Night on Earth (1991) by Tony — 12 Jun 2008
I watched this again recently for the first time in awhile. I had forgotten how much I like it. This was my first Jarmusch and also it's one of the first independant films I really got into (I saw this when I was as young as 13 or 14 thanks to the library).
This movie also introduced me to the amazing music of Tom Waits. My only problem is the with the last segment. It's absolutely excellent in itself, but still seem disproportionately depressing from the rest of the movie.
Only a minor quibble though, this is still one of my long-running favorites.
