Review of Night on Earth (1991) by Raül J — 07 Jul 2009
A good, sometimes really good movie, slicing the life of 5 different cities, their night, all through a cab driver and his/her passenger/s. Exciting concept, mixing serious issues, touching ones, funny ones.
L.A, NY and Helsinki are great (I would say NY story is superb and the one in Helsinki is a great, like a classic short story translated from a book into a film). Sadly, Paris (too harsh) and Rome (not much more than a joke, and Benigni is pretty annoying sorry) makes it rate lower than it should.
But a very recommendable one nevertheless. Good one.
