Review of Night on Earth (1991) by Sonoe N — 16 May 2010
Gets off to a wobbly start, but it gathers steam by the Paris taxi ride, a superb sparring match between De Bankolé and Dalle (gorgeous even when rolling her eyeballs). The Rome segment is hilarious, and the Helsinki one is unexpectedly touching.
Overall, a strong and likeable Jarmusch.
