Review of Night of the Templar (2012) by All H — 14 Oct 2012
A refreshing note - Hollywood isn't just producing the same old rehashed junk. Sampson created winner with this film, creating a fresh story on the age old concept of revenge with an amazing all star cast!
Being the last film of David Carradine's career, it's a shining example of what happens when real stars get together on a film set. Carradine offers his best mystical and dark side along with Norman Reedus of The Walking Dead and horror legend Udo Kier as they haunt the fright into you wondering who is going to end up dead next.
No plot give-aways here, but you will enjoy seeing an original story told without having to rely on old comic book stories to keep the pace. It's shot on amazing locations, real castles, pretty girls, and what I enjoyed most - quality dialog that keeps you watching and listening, and many times bursting out with a chuckle and a laugh by the characters responses.
Well worth the view, and well worth the wait! I knew this movie was coming for a while, I'm happy to have got a copy, and I think fans of cult type films will feel the same way. Kill Bill, Ten Little Indians, Highlander ... add Night of the Templar to your list of must haves.
