For a remake made entirely for money...based on Romero's own admission, that it turns out halfway-decent is a miracle. But, yeah it's more-or-less the same as the original except in color, a different ending(not better or worse, just different) and some inspired moments here and there.
I guess if you never saw the original, you'll like it alot more than I did.
